TV Cameraman
Richard is a multi-skilled location lighting cameraman and studio cameraman with ten years broadcast experience. BBC trained. Owner / operator – Z1 & DSR-570 cameras, lighting & sound kits plus full NLE edit suite.
Dynamic and active crew member with diverse credits. Showreel and references available. Programme specialities include the arts, classical & contemporary music, religion & faith, current affairs, food & cooking, rural, literature…
He is organised and resourceful; punctual, professional and polite; and has good interpersonal and practical skills. Also, he enjoys travelling and is happy to consider both short and longer term productions, working with just a presenter / subject or a full size crew.
In short Richard is easy to work with, flexible and accommodating whilst still achieving artistic and captivating pictures and sound. As an experienced editor he always shoots for the edit and combines extensive technical and storytelling skills with great teamwork to make working with him fun, efficient and effective.

Richard is fluent and proficient with all types of television camera; from full size HVR-790 DigiBeta and DSR-570 DVCam to the small PD-150/170 camcorder and the new HVR-Z1 & V1 small DVCam / HDV camcorders.
He enjoy lighting location & interview shoots properly and artistically to give beautiful and captivating pictures. He has extensive portable and lightweight lighting kits, plus experience and access to a great variety of other specialised lighting techniques.

Bookings for multiple days / weeks are of course negotiable, but as a guideline the following are my basic day rates – including supplying equipment.

Above assumes ten hour working day, including transport from Kent base. Cameraman’s unscheduled overtime charged from £40.00 per hour. Own vehicle transport at £0.49 per mile.
